Most landlord software and advice is built for property managers with hundreds of doors. Small Landlord HQ is for everyone else: people who own a duplex, a few single-family rentals or a small multifamily, and handle the work themselves.

What we make

• Simple templates (spreadsheets and printables) that do one job well, with no subscription and no learning curve.
• A monthly newsletter with one useful checklist or template at a time.

How we work

• Practical over perfect. Everything should be usable in an evening.
• Fair and consistent. Our screening content is built around written criteria and fair housing basics.
• Honest about limits. We aren't lawyers or CPAs, and landlord-tenant law varies a lot by state and city. Our content is general information. For decisions with legal or tax consequences, talk to a qualified local professional.
